We are a small cellar in Vilobí del Penedès. In 1985, Josep, the owner, decided to make the first 1.000 bottles of sparkling wine. He was 16 years old and he was studying oenlogy.

After 4 generations, Josep was the one to give up the bulk wine business of the family to star elaborating his own wine.

He registered "Loxarel" (a play on words from "xarel.lo") and, together with his wife, Teresa, they started running the cellar.

All of our wines are organic and biodynamic, and we also have a a natural line of wines, called "A Pèl".


We work very hard throughout the year to elaborate wines and sparkling wines that reflect our philosophy.
